my life. on the internets.

So long, 2019. Hello 2020.

Okay, so first, let’s look at the end of 2018 post I’d made. I didn’t set any specific resolutions, but there were some things that I wanted to do.

2019 – how/what I did

  • Getting into shape. I managed to run the entire year, although I mostly stopped in the middle of winter here. I ended the year with 127 runs, and exactly 500.1 miles run. I track everything on Strava. I didn’t start running with the goal of doing races, but in 2019, I did 4 of them. I did 2 10Ks, an 8 mile trail race (with my brother), and a 15K trail race. My very first trail run was in October, and I discovered how much I love running on trails. I had a not-so-great incident where I ran out of water and was getting lost, and it could have been worse. I just have to be more careful. I do intermittent fasting somewhat.. it’s a little loose, but I skip breakfast, other than coffee without any cream or sweetener (which is a new thing I got used to).
  • Reading more. I definitely did well. I started using GoodReads to track what I was reading, and ended 2019 with 53 books read. I only set a goal of 40, and blew past that. The very best reads of the year were (and new favorites).. The Autobiography of Malcolm X, Parable of the Sower, and The Three-Body Problem trilogy (I’m still reeling from this hard sci-fi, this is some of the best stuff I’ve read in my life. If you like sci-fi, you should read this).
  • Less movies. I think I somewhat succeeded at this, because my list of movies and shows to watch has continued to grow. I do try to watch things that I really want to watch, but I don’t just watch whatever.
  • Bought a gaming PC — oops. I wasn’t going to, but then I did. I’ve only turned it on twice though, so I’m not really gaming at all. There are some fun games out there, a bunch that I own, but I’m glad that I’m reading instead.
  • Help Grace with school. Grace had a great experience in 1st grade, although the organization at home, along with homework, schedules, etc kind of came off the wheels in October.
  • Be a good dad/husband. Not sure how well I did here. I have made a consistent effort to spend time playing with the kiddos every single day after work. With the nice weather, this is easier, since they love to run outside in our yard. I’ve tried to be patient, and also less of a crank.
  • Minimalism. I have this in mind, but we still buy junk. I try to get rid of stuff, but don’t make much progress. Still have way too much stuff. At least I think about minimalism when I’m buying stuff?

2020 – how/what I want to do

  • Running. I want to keep running. I like how I feel after I run, but I especially like running on trails. I hope to do some races this year, although not sure how that is going to look with all the political turmoil in Chile right now. Lots of events have been cancelled/postponed, so it’s hard to know what will be available. Planning on doing at least one trail race in October with my brother.
  • Spend time with kids. I’ve doing some of this every day, but I want it to be prominent on my list, so that I make it a priority.
  • Read more. I’m setting a goal of 40 books to read (same as last year). The number of books read doesn’t really matter, but having a goal does help me keep reading. Also the number of books I’ll be able to read in my lifetime is a finite number, so I should keep reading? I always try to make sure that the majority of my reading is nonfiction, although I like to read good fiction.
  • Better personal organization. This would including helping Grace once school starts in March, but also cleaning/organizing my own study, and setting an example for her and James. Straightening up my room would help me be a more productive person. I would stick minimalism in this category.
  • Cooking. I don’t really like taking the time to cook, and that is something that I want to change in 2020. I want to want to cook, at least some of the time, and make an effort with meals.
  • Writing. I didn’t do any writing last year, and I feel the clock ticking. I want to work on developing a writing habit, and try to do some writing every day, although I’m not sure right now what I’d even write about.
  • Website project. I don’t even have any good ideas right now, but I would really like to get some extra income generated, as well as I would enjoy the challenge and experience of developing and running a small biz.
  • Continue studies. Yeah, I still haven’t gotten my degree. Easy to blame my kids, but I need to set aside the time to do it. Re-enroll, get FAFSA, and get those studies out of the way. I only need 7-8 more courses before I’d be done.

James has been yelling in his room, because he’s bored and wants to hang out. So I’m going to start 2020 by spending some time with him.. and maybe later I’ll make some progress on my room.

Political Media Blackout 2019

I want to take a break from reading the news for the month of February. Specifically, political news. It’s hard to avoid, but I’ll admit that I seek it out and read more than I need to.

Why do I want to avoid the politics? Because the news is mostly unpleasant, and it’s upsetting, and it doesn’t make me happy, or improve my life or my family’s life, in any way. I can see how it’s because of my white privilege that I have the luxury of blocking off the news. I’m unlikely to be directly affected by anything that might happen in the next month. I’m not at risk of being deported, or experiencing financial problems.

So where do I get my news, and how am I going to block it?

Email

New York Times. I get the daily newsletters. I’ll need to stop reading those. I’ll unsubscribe for the month of February.

There are a few other newsletters that include the news such as NextDraft, and Casey Newton. While I don’t subscribe to them for the politics, it would be impossible to miss any large news events. I’ll unsubscribe from those. If I unsubscribe from any others, I’ll add them here.

I’m not planning on unsubscribing from Pocket Hits that sends the most popular articles of the day. The articles aren’t political, too often, and there is a lot of good content, so I’m just going to skip over anything referencing politics, etc. If things get too bad, I’ll archive the emails for a month.

Twitter

Log out, and don’t log back in for a month. No way around it.

There is lots of great tech content, but politics are just in the mix, and a part of everything, and it would be impossible to miss.

Facebook

This is tough. I could hide people from my newsfeed if they share political news. But there are plenty of Facebook pages that also share articles, and I don’t necessarily want to block all of those.

There are Chrome extensions that can do the job for me. I’ll probably go this option if I can find an extension that doesn’t look sketchy and won’t steal my personal information.

I could disable Facebook, but I use Messenger to keep in touch with my family, And Facebook is great for getting updates on people, and seeing photos.

Reddit

I’m not sure, I don’t really go onto Reddit for the politics. I might be able to hide a few subreddits, but if I stay away from “All”, I’ll be able to avoid almost everything.

News

New York Times, Drudge Report, etc. I’m going to use my hosts file to actually block these sites, since I might type in the URLs out of habit. By blocking the websites with a hosts file, I can’t access the website or any articles at all. Of course, I could easily remove the block by editing the hosts file… but it’s a lot more effort than just clicking on a link, so I won’t do it.

I’m not going to freak out if I hear about the news. The goal of this is to just decrease my own exposure to the news, and then see where I am in 28 days, and how I feel, and whether or not I need the exposure. Will I be happier knowing less? Hopefully, I will.

My 2018 post

Excuses.. but having my host die on me last year and losing some posts really didn’t make me eager to use my blog anymore, and I definitely lost steam. Decided I’d try to get at least one post out this year, so I can say that I blog every year.

So this year…

  • I stopped doing kickboxing. While I really enjoyed the exercise, I didn’t enjoy the combat.
  • My son was born. James is healthy and happy, and we are so thankful for him.
  • I started reading more. I uninstalled some apps and games from my iPhone, and installed the Kindle reader, and I’ve been reading quite a bit in my free time. I’ve tried to keep track of what I’ve been reading, but haven’t remembered to write down every title. American Prison was probably one of my favorite since it’s a topic that interests me.
  • I’ve started doing intermittent fasting after reading a great book about fasting. It isn’t too hard. The two biggest changes are that I try not to eat after 6-7 pm, and then I don’t eat anything until lunch the next day. I will do coffee in the morning, but nothing until lunch. It keeps getting easier.
  • I started jogging. This is a big one. I started doing Couch to 5K (C25K), and this week I’m completing week 8, and I’ve been running at least 5K this whole week. I’m planning on continuing on and keep running and trying to get up to 10K, and we’ll see what happens from there.

This post is a little sloppy, but I’m worried that if I put too much effort into it, that I’ll put it off and never publish it.

I’ve decided not to set specific resolutions. I don’t really care too much if I start something from January 1st. I started jogging at the beginning of November, and it’s been great.

Next year, I hope to continue to get into shape with the intermittent fasting, and continued jogging. I want to increase my endurance and the distance that I’m able to run without feeling like I’m dying.

Continue with more reading, less movies. If I watch a movie, it should at least be a good movie, and not waste my time on junk.

Grace will be starting 1st grade, and I want to make sure that I am helping her regularly with her homework and developing good study habits, something I don’t have much of.. due to my schedule flexibility, developed from my homeschooling experience.

Decided not to buy a gaming PC (yet). I’d rather try focus my free time on something more productive, whether it is reading another book, spending time with my kiddos, or trying to think about good website ideas, and maybe earn a bit more.

Be a good dad to Grace and James. Help them develop an interest in reading.

Be a good/patient/happy husband for Steph.

Continue to work on minimalism.. buying less, and owning less.

When your webhost craps out on you

This is a restored backup from January. And I’m lucky that I’d even done that backup in January. Unfortunately I lost a few posts that I’d made. I downloaded what I could from Google cache, so that I can re-add them, but Google cache didn’t even have all of my posts. This site is barely even indexed in Google now, because I took so long to restore things.

It’s my fault for not backing up more often. But this is the first web host in 20+ years to lose everything. I haven’t even switched hosts.

It was very tempting to just let everything go away. Let the domains drop, and fade away, but I’ve decided to keep some of them. I’ll make sure that I have regular backing-up happening now though.

My Resolutions for 2017

  • Watch less TV / movies
I spend too much time watching TV shows and movies. When I’m ready for bed, I end up watching Netflix, instead of reading a book, or doing something that might be more valuable. There are still movies that I want to watch when they come out, and shows that I will keep up with (Game of Thrones came to mind, immediately). But unless something is a big deal, I won’t watch it, and I’ll just write down the title for future watching.
  • Read at least 2 books a month
I need this on my list to make sure I always read. At least 50% of the books need to be nonfiction. This isn’t too hard.
  • Read to Grace every night
I make an effort to read books with her, but I’m not consistent enough.
  • Write more
I’m less psyched about writing every day, but I’m going to set a goal of writing at least one blog post a month (that isn’t a review of how I’m doing on my resolutions). I’m also planning on doing some sort of journal, still not positive what. I might just do the Five Minute Journal.
  • Cook something nice for Steph
Hot dogs and/or eggs don’t count. I need to make something nice.
  • Less social media
Facebook, Twitter & company are such a worthless timesuck the majority of the time. There is very little useful information that you actually get out of it. And to consider all the hours I’ve wasted on it. Days of my life.
  • More photography
I’m trying to take more photos, and making it more of a personal habit. I’ll probably be getting a used iPhone, and will be able to take better quality photos. My phone’s camera is currently pretty bad, and I don’t really like walking around with a camera in Chile.
  • Work on Rancagua.net
Started working on this with my brother at the end of the year, and I want this on my list of resolutions so that I can continue to add content on this. Not worrying about traffic, results ranking, or profitability right now. Just focused on adding as much useful content as possible.
  • Earn college credits
I haven’t continued studies since before my daughter was born. Still need 39 credit hours, which will be approximately 13 courses worth 2 credit hours each. It’ll still take me a few years, but I’m hoping to get at least 6 courses out of the way this year, which will be 12 credit hours.
  • Keep track of resolutions
This is still on my calendar at the end of each month, to remind myself to provide an update on my resolutions. Failed after a few months last year, but still an important part of actually having resolutions.

I was debating whether to even have resolutions in 2017. Lots of mixed opinions. But I find for myself that having resolutions is good, because it is a constant personal reminder of things that I should probably be doing less.

2016 Resolutions: Analysis of a failure

First update for my 2016 resolutions since… June 1st.

Let’s take a look at my list and see where things went wrong.

  • Learn to play the guitar: FAIL
I was off to a good start, and it lasted several months. Ultimately all I have are excuses. The main one was that I liked to practice at night, but certain people would complain about the racket. I still have my guitar, still want to play, and have it right next to my desk, although it’s out of tune.
  • Write more: FAIL
Didn’t write all year, wrote a decent outline for Nanowrimo. Got off to a good start.. I made it 9 days, and I wrote 14,822 words. But then I just started hating what I was writing. Once you get a little behind of your writing goal, you really lose all motivation for Nanowrimo.
  • Better communication: Not great
Did Skype, but it is hard coordinating. I found it easiest if I just skyped peoples’ phones, instead of trying to get both of us on Skype at the same time. Grace didn’t do it as much though. Need to do better.
  • Read at least 2 books a month: Yay
I think I did this, I didn’t do a great job of keeping track of my reading, and in the last month or so, I’ve mostly been watching Mad Men at night instead of reading, but I got a decent amount done.
  • Watch less movies / TV: So-so
I don’t know if I watched movies / TV, but I tried to be more selective about what I watch, so I watched better movies and tried not to watch garbage TV, and watch good shows (Mad Men and Stranger Things come to mind).
  • Develop blog about Chile: FAIL
Did nothing but think about this… still got ideas, and nothing to show for it. Lame.
  • Exercise: Not really
I’ve been more careful with my eating in the last few months, and I definitely do more physical activity playing with Grace, but not actually going out jogging, or anything scheduled. I should do more.
  • Keep track of my resolutions: FAIL
I only kept track of my resolutions up until May, so yeah, I failed this.

I may just keep my resolutions the same for next year, so that I feel guilty when I don’t do anything.

The IMDb top movies I haven’t watched: The Sequel

This is an update to the post I made 7 months ago called The IMDb top movies that I haven’t watched.

I’ve rated 1,577 movies on IMDb as of this post. This is 122 more ratings since my first post exactly 7 months ago. This does not mean that I’ve watched this many. There are many movies that I found where I’d seen the movie but hadn’t rated them.

Before I go through the top 250 lists and check my progress, I want to mention some of the movies that I really enjoyed. Two titles were added to my favorite movies, To Kill a Mockingbird and It’s a Wonderful Life. To Kill a Mockingbird was a great book, and I expected the movie to not be as good, and be a letdown compared to the book, but I was pleasantly surprised at how well done it was. It’s a Wonderful Life, I was going in expecting it to be a cheesy Christmas movie, mostly from the shots that I’ve always seen of James Stewart’s character holding one of his children. Well, I absolutely loved this movie.

Casablanca was better than I expected, Citizen Kane was a little bit less than I expected, even though Orson Welles was great. Seven Samurai was absolutely epic, and although it was very long, I enjoyed it very much. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly was a fun western. 12 Angry Men was interesting (and very sweaty).

Now let’s check the lists.

For 1996, I’ve watched 68 out of the top 100, 127 out of 250 titles. Remember that IMDb’s first year had a lot of junk. “Top” movies I haven’t seen are #7 Star Trek: First Contact and #17 Beautiful Thing.

For 1997, I’ve watched 74 out of the top 100, 128 out of 250 titles. Top movies that I haven’t seen are #46 The Full Monty and #47 Sling Blade.

For 1998, I’ve watched 77 out of the top 100, 132 out of 250 titles. Top movies that I haven’t seen are #42 Glory and #46 The African Queen.

For 1999, I’ve watched 72 out of the top 100,  129 out of 250 titles. Top movies that I haven’t seen are #17 Being John Malkovich and #43 All About Eve.

For 2000, I’ve watched 76 out of the top 100, 133 out of 250 titles. Top movies that I haven’t seen are #40 Das Boot and #46 All About Eve.

For 2001, I’ve watched 82 out of the top 100, 139 out of 250 titles. Top movies that I haven’t seen are #41 Das Boot and #53 All About Eve.

For 2002, I’ve watched 83 out of the top 100, 143 out of 250 titles. Top movies that I haven’t seen are #37 Das Boot and #45 Double Indemnity.

For 2003, I’ve watched 84 out of the top 100, 148 out of 250 titles. Top movies that I haven’t seen are #43 Das Boot and #44 Double Indemnity.

For 2004, I’ve watched 86/top 100, 142/250 titles. Top movies that I haven’t seen are #45 Double Indemnity and #46 Das Boot.

2005, I’ve watched 88/top 100, 149/250 titles. Top movies unseen are #46 Das Boot and #58 Modern Times.

2006, I’ve watched 86/top 100, 149/250 titles. Top movies unseen are #53 Das Boot and #60 Metropolis.

2007, I’ve watched 86/top 100, 157/250 titles. Top movies unseen are #56 Double Indemnity and #60 Das Boot.

2008, I’ve watched 89/top 100, 157/250 titles. Top unseen #48 Double Indemnity and #61 Terminator 2: Judgment Day.

2009, I’ve watched 91/top 100, 170/250 titles. Top unseen #45 Terminator 2: Judgment Day and #58 Double Indemnity.

2010, I’ve watched 92/top 100, 165/250 titles. Top unseen are #42 Terminator 2: Judgment Day and #53 Double Indemnity.

2011, I’ve watched 92/top 100, 166/250 titles. Top unseen are #39 Terminator 2: Judgment Day and #55 Double Indemnity.

2012, I’ve watched 91/top 100, 169/250 titles. Top unseen are #36 Terminator 2: Judgment Day and #45 Modern Times.

2013, I’ve watched 89/top 100, 162/250 titles. Top unseen are #38 Terminator 2: Judgment Day and #41 Modern Times.

2014, I’ve watched 87/top 100, 163/250 titles. Top unseen are #38 The Intouchables and #39 Modern Times.

2015, I’ve watched 88/top 100, 169/250 titles. Top unseen are #38 The Intouchables and #39 Modern Times.

For 2016, I’ve watched 168/250 titles. Of course, this list is still fluctuating. In my next update, I’ll have a permanent 2016 list to use as a reference.

I’ve completed 2,997 titles out of the 5,000 titles on the the top 250 which is 59%.
I’ve completed 1,681 titles out of the 2,000 top 100, which is 84%.

So my progress is at 59%/84%. I really knocked out of a lot of the top 100 titles, since 7 months ago, these numbers were 55%/46%.

Lots of great titles still to watch. I expect to have the top 100 list to be completely cleared for a few years, the next time that I update. Adding this to my calendar for a reminder in 6 months.

2016 Resolutions: May

May has come and gone.

  • Guitar
Finally picked it up, and tuned it.
  • Write more
After watching L.A. Confidential, I was reading about the author of the book, James Ellroy, and something I thought was interesting about him was that he writes very long outlines before he writes his book. An outline worked well for me when I did NaNoWriMo last year, so I’m working on an outline now for an idea that I have, and hopefully that will help me write more.
  • Skype
I think I skyped once with Grace. Need to more.
  • Read
I’ve been reading a variety of stuff, including How to Fly a Horse: The Secret History of Creation, Invention, and Discovery and I’ve been reading stories in the anthology Press Start to Play. I finished Ruthless: Scientology, My Son David Miscavige, and Me, and right now I’m finishing up HEX by Thomas Olde Heuvelt. Fun modern twist on a town cursed by a witch.
  • Watch less
Trying to watch quality over quantity, now that I’m working on the the IMDb top 250 lists. I’ve watched a lot of great old movies. My favorites would probably be It’s a Wonderful Life, Seven Samurai, and L.A. Confidential.
  • Exercise
I haven’t been exercising, but we’re almost on week 4 of a low-carb diet. So I’m actually doing something about my health, and getting into shape.
  • Duolingo
20+ day streak currently. Just doing a little bit of French every day. I don’t think that I’d be able to speak it at all, but I do know that I’m learning new words all the time.

The IMDb top movies that I haven’t watched

I’ve rated 1,455 movies on IMDb as of this post. IMDb keeps track of the top 250 movies for each year, starting with 1996. So you can look at each list and see how many of the 250 movies in that list you’ve watched.

For 1996, I’ve watched 48 out of the top 100, 88 out of 250 titles. In 1996, there wouldn’t have been very many people rating the movies, which is why the top movies on that list, that I haven’t seen, are number #5 and #6 and are both Wallace & Gromit claymation short films. There are some other really terrible titles on that list like #146 Tom and Huck.

For 1997, I’ve watched 45 out of the top 100, 94 out of 250 titles. The top movies that I haven’t seen is #5 Casablanca, followed by #6 Citizen Kane.

For 1998, I’ve watched 51 out of the top 100, 96 out of 250 titles. The top movies I haven’t watched are #6 Casablanca, followed by #6 Citizen Kane.

For 1999, I’ve watched 43 out of the top 100, 93 out of 250 titles. Top movies I haven’t seen are still #5 Casablanca and #6 Citizen Kane.

For 2000, I’ve watched 48 out of the top 100, 97 out of 250 titles. #4 Citizen Kane, #5 Casablanca.

For 2001, I’ve watched 51 out of the top 100, 104 out of 250 titles. #5 Citizen Kane, #7 Casablanca.

For 2002, I’ve watched 54 out of the top 100, 107 out of 250 titles. #5 Citizen Kane, #7 Casablanca.

For 2003, I’ve watched 53 out of the top 100, 112 out of 250 titles. Top movies I haven’t seen are #6 Casablanca, #9 Seven Samurai. Citizen Kane got pushed further down, dang!

For 2004, I’ve watched 55 out of the top 100, 105 out of 250 titles. Top movies I haven’t seen are #5 Seven Samurai and #7 Casablanca

For 2005, I’ve watched 58 out of the top 100, 113 out of 250 titles. #5 Seven Samurai, #7 Casablanca.

For 2006, I’ve watched 58 out of the top 100, 112 out of 250 titles. Top movies I haven’t seen are #5 The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, and #6 Casablanca.

For 2007, I’ve watched 55 out of the top 100, 120 out of 250 titles. 48%. Top movies I haven’t seen are #4 The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, and #9 Casablanca.

For 2008, I’ve watched 58 out of the top 100, 122 out of 250 titles. 48.8%. Top movies I haven’t seen are #5 The Good, the Bad and the Ugly and #10 12 Angry Men.

For 2009, I’ve watched 60 out of the top 100, 134 out of 250 titles. Finally passed the 50% mark, with 53.6% watched. Top movies I haven’t seen #4 The Good, the Bad and the Ugly and #8 12 Angry Men.

For 2010, I’ve watched 61 out of the top 100, 131 out of 250 titles. #4 The Good, the Bad and the Ugly and #8 12 Angry Men.

For 2011, I’ve watched 61 out of the top 100, 133 out of 250 titles. #4 The Good, the Bad and the Ugly and #6 12 Angry Men.

For 2012, I’ve watched 61 out of the top 100, 135 out of 250 titles. #5 The Good, the Bad and the Ugly and #6 12 Angry Men.

For 2013, I’ve watched 59 out of the top 100, 129 out of 250 titles. #5 The Good… so tired of typing the title of that movie and #7 12 Angry Men.

For 2014, I’ve watched 60 out of the top 100, 129 out of 250 titles. #6 The Good whatever and #7 12 Angry Men.

For 2015, I’ve watched 62 out of the top 100, 135 out of 250 titles. Top movies I haven’t seen are #5 12 Angry Men, and #8 The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

For 2016, I’ve watched 136 out of 250 titles. These results aren’t official, because the 2016 list will fluctuate for the entire year, and some new, popular movies will displace older ones.

By my super-duper calculations (excluding the not complete year of 2016), I’ve completed 2,289 titles out of the 5,000 titles on the top 250 lists, or about 46%. Out of the top 100 movies for those 20 years, I’ve completed 1,101 titles out of 2,000 titles, which is a tiny bit over 55% Of course, the majority of these titles overlap years. But it’s safe to say that my progress is at 55%/46%.

I’m going to try to watch a movie a week. I’ll alternate the top 250 lists, going with a different year every time, and just select the top ranked movie that I haven’t seen from that list. Safe to say that I’m starting with Casablanca, Citizen Kane, Seven Samurai, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, and 12 Angry Men.

There’s some Hitchcock, Charlie Chaplin, and lots of classic films that I’ve heard of, such as Singin’ in the Rain, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, On the Waterfront, and To Kill a Mockingbird. And there is plenty of newer stuff too. Yeah, I’ve never seen Avatar or Lost in Translation. Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away or My Neighbor Totoro. Terminator 1 or 2, or Rocky.

Will plan to update on my progress in 6 months or so. I added it to my calendar so I remember.

English translation of “El Baile De Los Que Sobran”

This is how I would translate the song El Baile De Los Que Sobran from Los Prisioneros. YouTube video of the song. I found a few translations in English, and some weren’t very good. This might be more of an interpretation, then a literal translation.

First, the title: The Dance of the Leftovers

It’s another night, of walking.
Another month ends, with nothing new.

My friends stayed, just like you.
This year, the games have ended. The 12 games.

Join the dance of the leftovers
Nobody is going to miss us.
Nobody really wanted to help us.

They told us when we were young,
Play at studying.
Men are brothers, and together they must work.
You heard the advice,
Your eyes on your professor.
There was so much sunshine over your heads
And it wasn’t so true
Because those games in the end,
for some, ended in laurels and a future,
And left my friends kicking rocks.

Join the dance of the leftovers
Nobody is going to miss us.
Nobody really wanted to help us.

Hey, I know some stories, about the future
Hey, when I learned them, the times were the safest

Under the shoes, mud and cement
The future is none
Of the promised in the 12 games
Others were taught, secrets that you weren’t
Others trusted that thing called education
They asked for effort, they asked for dedication
And for what?
To end up dancing, and kicking rocks.

Hey, I know some stories, about the future
Hey, when I learned them, the times were the safest

Join the dance of the leftovers
Nobody is going to miss us.
Nobody really wanted to help us.
